Donald C. Naab, President and CEO and BOD
Don Naab is President and Chief Executive Officer of Danotek Motion Technologies. Don oversees all operations of the enterprise, including corporate strategy, partnership and business development.
Prior to joining Danotek, Don served as group president at Broadwind Energy where he led a growth strategy which boosted technological innovation, increased profitability and ultimately expanded the global reach of the company's gear works and maintenance services.
Don served as president of Smiths Interconnect, a specialized electronics manufacturer within Smith Group. He has held several other executive and leadership positions in the energy, aerospace and wireless telecommunications industries.
Don holds a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin.
Joe Miller, Chief of Operations
Joe Miller, co-founder of Danotek brings 35 years of engineering and manufacturing experience with GE; application engineering, quality control engineering, quality management and operations management.
Joe holds a BS degree in chemistry, math and physics from Manchester College. Joe has 6 patents relating to refrigeration motors and small automotive motors for air moving applications.
Daniel M. Saban, PhD, Chief Technical Officer
Dan Saban is a versatile engineering leader with a history of new product development; focused expertise in design and analysis of electrical machines; and a strong background in manufacturing methods, power electronics, controls, mechanical and thermal analysis.
He was formerly with GE Energy, responsible for design and development of generators for large steam turbines up to 1.6GW, wind turbines (gearbox-coupled and direct-drive) and other specialty machines.
Dan held the position of director of technology and Frame 8 program manager for Direct Drive Systems, where he provided technical oversight and led the product developments that propelled DDS from a start-up to a successful acquisition. His efforts focused on high-speed multi-megawatt PM machines for oil and gas applications, but also included sub-sea and down-hole applications, marine power-systems and air separation.
In his early career, he led the development of analysis tools while at GE Motors; and at UTC he was responsible for developing wound-field synchronous, switched-reluctance and permanent magnet (PM) machines, motor controls and power converters for aerospace applications.
He received his bachelors degree in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois, Urbana and earned a masters degree at Purdue, West Lafayette. En route to a PhD from University of Wisconsin-Madison he acquired concurrent masters degrees in mechanical and electrical engineering.
Dan has been granted 22 US patents to-date related to electric machine design, analysis and manufacture. He is an active Senior Member of IEEE and has published more than a dozen peer-reviewed papers.
Peter Gibson, Vice President of Sales & Marketing
Peter Gibson joined Danotek Motion Technologies in May 2011 as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. He is responsible for the overall strategic direction of Danotek's global and domestic sales, business development, marketing and market research.
Peter joined Danotek from Second Wind, Inc., a provider of wind forecasting and analysis solutions where he worked as vice president of sales. He also spent 10 years at Rolls-Royce, Inc., managing sales for gas turbine driven power generation sets in North American and Asia.
Peter has more than 20 years experience in the energy industry, and he has led sales teams in North American, Europe and Southeast Asia. He is a member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology in England. Peter received a Bachelor degree in electrical/electronic engineering from the University of Newcastle.
Joseph Abbud, Vice President of Global Operations
Joseph Abbud is Danotek's Vice President of Global Operations. He leads Danotek's expansion of operations on a global basis. Joseph also oversees Danotek's Lean, Six Sigma and other cost improvement initiatives.
Prior to Danotek, Joseph served as vice president of continuous improvement and global quality for Bourns Electronics. Prior to that, Joseph served as director of rapid continuous improvement and safety at Snap-On, Inc. He holds a master's in Quality Systems degree from Instituto Internacional de Estrategica Avanzada in Mexico and a Bachelor degree of Science in Industrial Engineering from Techologico de Monterrey.
Joseph is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt from the University of Michigan and Lean Master from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
Amiee Andrzejewski, Vice President of Human Resources
Amiee Andrzejewski, Vice President of Human Resources, joined Danotek Motion Technologies (DMT) in March of 2009. She oversees all of Danotek's human resource activities and is a strategic partner for the organization.
Amiee came to DMT from Grant Technical Services, a technical start-up employee leasing company, where she served as Vice President of Human Resources. She has more than 20 years of experience as a human resources and training professional.
Amiee holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Wayne State University and a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute. She also has a Six Sigma Green Belt certification from the University of Michigan.
David Erdman, Director of Technology
David Erdman, a co-founder of Danotek, is the original inventor of brushless motor sensor-less control technology. He brings 36 years of experience with General Electric, where many of his ECM designs went into production, including appliance motors and controls, pumps and compressor drives.
David holds a Master degree in electrical engineering from Purdue University. He holds 40 patents and more than 100 disclosures on brushless motors, controls, induction technology and other advancements.
